BN(O), UK Ancestry & Frontier Worker

Specialist routes for BN(O) status holders, Commonwealth ancestry and frontier workers. Clear advice and carefully prepared applications from Best Law Advisers.

Overview

Specialist routes: BN(O), UK Ancestry and Frontier Worker

The British National (Overseas) route lets BN(O) status holders from Hong Kong and their family members live, work and study in the UK. The UK Ancestry route is open to Commonwealth citizens with a grandparent born in the UK. The Frontier Worker permit allows eligible EU, EEA and Swiss citizens who live abroad to keep working in the UK.

These routes are less familiar, and the evidence needed — from ancestry documents to proof of continuous frontier work — can be difficult to put together. We help you understand your eligibility and prepare a complete application.
